Expectant Mothers

 HappyBaby!

Since the ear is one of the earliest organs to fully develop, the sense of hearing is perhaps our most direct and reliable connection to the fetus.  “Recent studies show that from the 24th week on, the unborn child listens all the time.” (The Secret Life of the Unborn Child)

Given this, what would be the most important sounds to have in baby’s environment? By far, his/her parents’ voices are top choice. Next, of course, is the wonderful world of classical music.

Dr. Suzuki, of the traditional Suzuki Method, believed that all children learn to speak the language which surrounds them.   He called this the "Mother Tongue Method."   In the same way, pre-borns learn to imitate the sounds of the music that becomes part of their environment from birth.

This unique class divides time between classical music, lullaby sing-a-longs, and yoga.  Mothers will learn songs from both past and present generations to sing to their babies.  Plus, a classical CD is provided as a keepsake that is used both inside the classroom and at home.  Lastly, yoga is combined with classical music to enable the mother and pre-born to experience a calm and tranquil session.

Enjoy a wonderful musical experience with your pre-born.
