The Toddler and Preschool music and movement classes offered through OnStage School of Performing Arts are different from the more commercial programs that are available to our community. Rather than focusing on one area of the arts, our programs at OnStage integrates a vocal and instrumental music experience with drama, puppetry, creative and imaginative movement, dance, play, arts and crafts, and story-telling.
Each course utilizes props, costumes, musical instruments, and a multitude of other media to attract students to the stage with confidence. Guided by highly accredited teachers, our curriculum is woven with developmental activities that build school readiness skills such as fine and gross motor movement, pre-reading, counting and patterns, listening and speaking, and socialization.
OnStage offers students the opportunity to grow with and further develop their talent at our School of Performing Arts. Our toddler and preschool classes are precursors to our school-age through adult offerings which include individual lessons for acting, vocal, and instrument; musical theater classes and productions; show choir, performance recitals and more. In addition, OnStage offers competitive prices to comparable music and movement classes within the Charlotte Metro area.

Get up and Dance! Mommies and daddies are invited to join their children's delight in movement as they run, jump, gallop, slide, tiptoe and rock & roll. In this interactive experience a weekly theme wil be explored through a variety of songs and activities using costumes, props, musical instruments and much more. Enjoy these 45 minutes overflowing with music, movement, and imagination.

Where everyonecan be a STAR!
 RisingSTARS
ROCK, Rattle, n-ROLL for 3 - 4 years
Enter a young child's world of fantasy. This unique movement class introduces different musical styles and rhythms through various percussion instruments and large locomotor movement. Story-telling, singing songs, and imaginative play will be incorporated to cultivate a sense of quality in movement. This pre-school level class is a great introduction to the joy of dance and an opportunity to express oneself through a creative movement, music, and play.

Shining Stars
(Ages: 3-5 years)
Give your child the chance to shine!! If life is already a stage for your child or your child just needs a little more encouragement, this pre-school level class is the place for your blooming actor or actress. This class introduces the fantastic world of musical theater to small children. Through improvisation, acting games, singing familiar favorites, and dance moves, your child will be performing in no time.

WHERE EVERY CHILD CAN BE A STAR!
Music for Little Mozarts Ages 2 - 5
This newly designed curriculum is written specifically for young kids 2 - 5 years old and is a comprehensive approach to musical learning that develops listening and technical skills (finger dexterity and a knowledge of the music alphabet) through story-telling, singing, and arts and crafts.
Kids love this program plus they receive a great musical foundation.
We offer this series in a classroom session as well as one-on-one private instruction. The materials include Beethoven Bear & Mozart Mouse stuffed animals, as well as a lesson book, discovery book, and story-telling cd.
Class can be offered as a 10 week course, private session, or Group Neighborhood Course.

(Ages: 4 - 5 years)
learn, create, compose
This general music course will get your child singing, dancing, creating and composing music quickly. Children will learn about various composers, make instruments, and even compose their own composition. Keepsake personalized compositions, music instruments, and a final performance ends this exciting class.
